Songs of Sonoma was born November, 2006 when Teresa Tudury and Matt Kramer attended the Far West Folk Alliance in Sacramento. 350 performers from all over the world gathered to perform for festival producers, club buyers and house concert producers as well. This conference had a magic that transformed the setting into a microcosm of the creative world where performers and songwriters gather and share their music.

The sense of community was felt throughout the hotel; imagine walking a hotel corridor where each room features a showcase of engaging and brilliant performers taking turns backing each other up, singing harmony and, in some cases, writing new songs together. The feeling in the air was warm and vibrant; at the end of the three day event, people were sharing the desire to keep the magic going.

Out of this desire, Songs of Sonoma was born. If you're a supporter of original music (or if you're tired of the repetitive formulaic music pouring relentlessly out of commercial radio), you're welcome to join us for an endless feast of musical Sundays. And that's not all...

Under the banner of "Songs of Sonoma", Teresa and Matt are seeking more venues to share the magic. If you have a living room or a comfortable barn (and room for parking), and would like to host a house concert, contact Matt or Teresa; we'll include you in the Songs of Sonoma Series.
